Do you live in Bethel Heights, Arkansas and have an addiction to drugs or alcohol? Is someone you know or care about battling drug or alcohol addiction and needs help? Drug and alcohol addiction exists everywhere in society today, and when an individual is caught up in addiction it can seem that there is no way out. There is in fact a way out, and it can be found at an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehabilitation Facility in Bethel Heights.
A Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehab Center in Bethel Heights treats drug addiction and alcoholism by teaching the individual how to overcome problems in life with real solutions, and that drugs and alcohol are not the answer. This can empower the individual, and put them in a position to start winning and achieving their goals. The end result of treatment at an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehab Center in Bethel Heights would be the individual being able to work their way through life and its obstacles, without the need or desire to use drugs or alcohol.
Due to the varying needs of individuals seeking treatment, there are a number of treatment programs available in Bethel Heights to care for someone addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. There are Short-term Drug Rehabs, Inpatient Drug Rehab Programs, Long-term Drug Treatment, Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities, support group meetings, drug counseling, halfway houses and sober living.
Treatment at a Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Treatment Center in Bethel Heights will hone in on the two main causes of addiction, physical and psychological. Over time, the individual's brain adapts to the use of a psychoactive substance, lessening the effect of the drug. Physical tolerance develops as a result. The person ends up having to take more and more drugs or alcohol to try and get back to that first initial high that got them hooked.
Upon commencing treatment, an individual will address the physical aspect of addiction by taking part in a detoxification program in Bethel Heights, Arkansas, which will get him through the uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms that are caused by abrupt cessation of a substance. Withdrawal symptoms can typically last for days, weeks or months depending on the type of substance you're dealing with. Heroin withdrawal for example may take quite some time to get through, and is particularly painful. Detoxification along with psychological counseling will get the individual in the right frame of mind to start addressing the psychological issues that are involved with the addiction to drugs or alcohol. This method greatly increases the individual's chances of a successful recovery and prevents relapse.
A Drug Rehab or Alcohol Treatment Center in Bethel Heights, AR. offers a sane environment that is conducive to a successful recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The individual will be taught how to properly handle life situations and control their own behavior in response to their environment. When the individual returns home following treatment, he will do so with a new mindset on how to engage with friends, family etc. The influences which may have triggered addiction in the individual will not have the same power over him. As part of treatment the individual will have addressed these psychological stressors as a priority and they will no longer have an effect on him.
Studies have shown that an individual who is addicted to drugs and alcohol shows changes in their brain, specifically the way it functions and responds to situations. This is an important reason that professional help at an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehabilitation Program in Bethel Heights, AR. is the best option to try and beat addiction.
Someone who is caught up in the destructive cycle of addiction is up against a lot, the odds may seem against him. But they aren't if he pursues treatment at a Drug Rehab or Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility in Bethel Heights, AR. Treatment exists so that the addict is given the best chance at a successful recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. There is hope for you or someone you care about. Did You Know? ... Interesting Facts and Statistics:
The average lethal dose of cocaine by the IV route or by inhalation is about 750-800 mg. This is subject to significant individual variation because deaths have occurred in doctors' offices with as little as 25 mg of cocaine applied to the mucous membrane or the snorting of a single line in recreational use where the average dose of 1 line is 20 mg.
Rates of current alcohol use were 62.0 percent for full-time employed adults aged 18 or older in 2006, higher than the rate for unemployed adults (52.1 percent). However, the pattern was different for binge and heavy alcohol use. Rates of binge and heavy use for unemployed persons were 34.2 and 12.2 percent, respectively, while these rates were 29.7 and 8.9 percent for full-time employed persons.
Rates of current alcohol use were 63.2 percent for full-time employed adults aged 18 or older in 2005, higher than the rate for unemployed adults (56.5 percent). However, the pattern was different for heavy alcohol use; the rate of heavy alcohol use was higher for unemployed persons (10.4 percent) than for full-time employed persons (8.4 percent). There was no significant difference in the rates of binge alcohol use between unemployed adults and adults employed full time.
The percentages of teens reporting binge alcohol use and use of cigarettes and marijuana in the past month were lower among those who perceived great risk in using these substances than among those who did not perceive great risk. For example, in 2008, 5.0 percent of teens aged 12 to 17 who perceived great risk from "having five or more drinks of an alcoholic beverage once or twice a week" reported binge drinking in the past month (consumption of five or more drinks of an alcoholic beverage on a single occasion on at least 1 day in the past 30 days); by contrast, past month binge drinking was reported by 11.5 percent of teens who saw moderate, slight, or no risk from having five or more drinks of an alcoholic beverage once or twice a week. Past month marijuana use was reported by 1.5 percent of teens who saw great risk in smoking marijuana once a month compared with 9.4 percent of teens who saw moderate, slight, or no risk.
Ecstasy is man-made using chemicals and other substances such as caffeine, dextromethorphan (found in some cough syrups), amphetamines, PCP, or cocaine are sometimes added to, or substituted for Ecstasy in tablets.
Marijuana is the most commonly used illegal drug. In 2001, it was used by 76 percent of current illegal drug users. Approximately 56 percent of current illegal drug users consumed only marijuana, 20 percent used marijuana and another illegal drug, and the remaining 24 percent used an illegal drug but not marijuana in the past month. Therefore, about 44 percent of current illegal drug users in 2001 (7.0 million Americans) used illegal drugs other than marijuana and hashish, with or without using marijuana as well.
