Various combinations of over-the-counter stimulants are often misrepresented as "speed" or are sold in capsules that resemble those of legally manufactured amphetamines; these are called "look-alike" stimulants. Deaths due to stroke have been reported following massive doses of look-alike combinations.
The current smoking rates for Hispanics were 7.9 percent among teens aged 12 to 17, 30.0 percent among young adults aged 18 to 25, and 19.1 percent among those aged 26 or older.
Rates for current alcohol use were 59.3 percent for full-time employed adults aged 18 or older in 2001 compared with 52.5 percent of their unemployed peers.
