There are many different types of drug rehab treatment facilities that are available, such as outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and residential treatment. Each type of drug rehab treatment setting is most commonly associated with a particular approach to drug addiction recovery.

Most people who abuse amphetamines are abusing other drugs as well, which may complicate their treatment. It is recommended that an amphetamine user participate in a residential drug treatment program specializing in this type of withdrawal and addiction treatment.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) report that about 1 in 20 high school seniors acknowledge having taken OxyContin.

Among teens aged 12 to 17 in 2008, the past year prevalence of MDE ranged from 3.9 percent among 12 year olds to 11.6 percent among those aged 16 and 10.6 percent among those aged 17. Similarly, rates of past year MDE with severe impairment ranged from 2.5 percent among 12 years olds to 8.8 percent among 16 year olds and 7.9 percent among 17 year olds.
