The prevalence of past month use of illegal drugs, marijuana, cigarettes, or binge alcohol use among those who participated in these prevention programs outside of school was not significantly lower (8.9 percent, 5.6 percent, 8.0 percent, or 7.5 percent, respectively) than among those who did not (9.2 percent, 6.7 percent, 9.2 percent, or 8.9 percent, respectively).
