Methadone, which is a long-acting synthetic narcotic analgesic, was used for the first time as a maintenance treatment for treating drug addictions in the mid-1960s by Dr. Vincent Dole and Marie Nyswander of Rockefeller University.
People's perceptions of the risk of binge drinking were moderately related to their actual rates of binge drinking at the State level in 2002.2003.
