Illegal drugs other than marijuana include cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens, inhalants, and the nonmedical use of prescription-type pain relievers, tranquilizers, stimulants, and sedatives. A number of States (six) that fell into the top fifth for past month use of an illegal drug among those aged 12 or older also were ranked in the top fifth for current use of an illegal drug other than marijuana: Alaska, District of Columbia, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington.
