We care about you - and will help you find a Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Rehab Program in Jackson, suited to your specific treatment needs. You don't have to deal with drug addiction or alcoholism on your own!
A Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Rehab Facility in Jackson, is a good option for the treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism. The goal of an Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Rehab Program in Jackson, SC. is to direct the initial treatment plan toward the ability of the individual to stop using drugs and/or alcohol and hence avoid the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that are usually associated with drug addiction and alcoholism.
There are many different addiction treatment approaches such as Long-term Addiction Recovery Programs, Outpatient Treatment Facilities, Short-term Treatment Programs, Inpatient Addiction Recovery Facilities, support group meetings, drug counseling, halfway houses and sober living.
Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Centers in Jackson, typically focus on the two-fold nature of drug addiction and alcoholism: physical and psychological addiction. Physical addiction can be treated by a detoxification program in Jackson, South Carolina with treatment procedure to assist with the painful withdrawal symptoms which manifest themselves when a person discontinues the consumption of a drug or drugs that they are addicted to. With habitual use of a psychoactive substance the brain gradually adapts to the presence of the drug so the desired effect becomes minimal. This is how physical tolerance develops to drugs such as heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, nicotine and alcohol to name a few. It also explains why more and more of the drug is needed to get the same effect with habitual use of an addictive drug. The abrupt cessation of an addictive drug can lead to serious withdrawal symptoms where the body may take weeks or months (depending on the drug involved) to return to normal function. The withdrawal symptoms from certain substances, such as heroin, can induce severe and painful withdrawal symptoms, and be quite prolonged.
An Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Rehab Center in Jackson, will not only provide the person with a professional detox but also provide a Drug Rehab or Alcohol Treatment Program for the psychological issues inevitably underlying all drug and alcohol addiction problems, so as to decrease the chances of relapse and increase the chances of a clean and sober life.
An Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Treatment Facility in Jackson, SC. is more likely to be one of the most successful methods for treating an individual with a severe drug addiction problem. Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facilities in Jackson, are designed to deliver a comprehensive treatment curriculum and assist a person in every facet of their life 24 hours a day.
For a person to make a successful recovery, they must acquire new knowledge, abilities and 'life skills'. This new knowledge, abilities and life skills must be directed toward strategies for returning home to Jackson, from a Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Rehab Center and encountering old drug using acquaintances in Jackson - as well as ways to handle the many reminders and triggers of their past drug using days in Jackson. These triggers can produce memories which can produce psychological stressors. These psychological stressors often hinder the recovering addict, making it very difficult for them to feel as though they have control over their actions concerning drug using impulses. This is because research into the brain of addicts shows changes in the way their brain functions long after they have discontinued using drugs and/or alcohol. This is the main reason why even an individual with will power as strong as steel may find it extremely difficult to overcome drug addiction or alcoholism without professional addiction treatment. With so many obstacles such as triggers, drug cravings, and changes in the way their brain functions due to habitual drug use, it is no surprise why so many people attend a Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehab Facility each year to successfully recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
There are many reasons why a person should enroll into a Drug Rehab or Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility in Jackson. A few of the many reasons are: the inability to control or eliminate their drinking or drug use, alienating their friends and family, legal problems, severe depression and general unhappiness due to excessive drug or alcohol use.

Did You Know? ... Interesting Facts and Statistics:
OxyContin is highly expensive on the street: $80 for one pill.
Past year nonmedical users of prescription type psychotherapeutic drugs are asked how they obtained the drugs they recently used nonmedically. Rates averaged for 2007 and 2008 show that over half of the nonmedical users of prescription type pain relievers, tranquilizers, stimulants, and sedatives aged 12 or older said they got the drugs they used most recently "from a friend or relative for free." In a follow up question, the majority of these respondents indicated that their friend or relative had obtained the drugs from one doctor.
In 2006, 14.5 percent of teens aged 12 to 17 who received mental health treatment or counseling in the past year were dependent on or abused illegal drugs or alcohol in the past year, higher than the 6.3 percent who did not receive treatment or counseling.
Of the 6.2 million people who needed but did not receive specialty treatment for illegal drug use in 2006, 496,000 (8.0 percent) reported that they perceived a need for treatment for their illegal drug use problem. Of the 496,000 persons who felt a need for treatment in 2006 (similar to the number reported in 2005, 601,000 persons), 182,000 (36.6 percent) reported that they made an effort and 314,000 (63.4 percent) reported making no effort to get treatment.
Current use of smokeless tobacco decreased from 8.1 percent in 2005 to 3.2 percent in 2006 among American Indians or Alaska Natives aged 12 to 17. In the same age group, past month use of smokeless tobacco among blacks increased from 0.1 to 0.5 percent.
As was the case from 2002 through 2004, boys aged 12 or older in 2005 were about twice as likely to be classified with substance dependence or abuse as girls (12.0 vs. 6.4 percent). Among teens aged 12 to 17, however, the rate of substance dependence or abuse among boys was similar to the rate among girls (7.8 vs. 8.3 percent).
