Do you have a problem with drug or alcohol addiction and live in Winfield, Tennessee? Are you concerned about a family member in Winfield, who has a problem like this? Whatever your situation it's easy to believe that you're alone with this . . . that, somehow, you have to solve the problem all on your own. That is not the case. We care about you - and will help you find an Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Treatment Facility in Winfield, suited to your specific treatment needs. You don't have to deal with drug addiction or alcoholism on your own!

An Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Treatment Program in Winfield, is a good option for the treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism. The goal of a Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility in Winfield, TN. is to direct the initial treatment plan toward the ability of the individual to stop using drugs and/or alcohol and hence avoid the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that are usually associated with drug addiction and alcoholism.

There are many different addiction treatment approaches such as Long-term Drug Rehabilitation Facilities, Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers, Short-term Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs, Inpatient Drug Rehabilitation Centers, support group meetings, drug counseling, halfway houses and sober living.

Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Centers in Winfield, typically focus on the two-fold nature of drug addiction and alcoholism: physical and psychological addiction. Physical addiction can be treated by a detoxification program in Winfield, Tennessee with treatment procedure to assist with the painful withdrawal symptoms which manifest themselves when a person discontinues the consumption of a drug or drugs that they are addicted to. With habitual use of a psychoactive substance the brain gradually adapts to the presence of the drug so the desired effect becomes minimal. This is how physical tolerance develops to drugs such as heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, nicotine and alcohol to name a few. It also explains why more and more of the drug is needed to get the same effect with habitual use of an addictive drug. The abrupt cessation of an addictive drug can lead to serious withdrawal symptoms where the body may take weeks or months (depending on the drug involved) to return to normal function. The withdrawal symptoms from certain substances, such as heroin, can induce severe and painful withdrawal symptoms, and be quite prolonged.

A Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehab Facility in Winfield, will not only provide the person with a professional detox but also provide an Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facility for the psychological issues inevitably underlying all drug and alcohol addiction problems, so as to decrease the chances of relapse and increase the chances of a clean and sober life.

An Alcohol Rehab or Drug Treatment Center in Winfield, TN. is more likely to be one of the most successful methods for treating an individual with a severe drug addiction problem. Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facilities in Winfield, are designed to deliver a comprehensive treatment curriculum and assist a person in every facet of their life 24 hours a day.

For a person to make a successful recovery, they must acquire new knowledge, abilities and 'life skills'. This new knowledge, abilities and life skills must be directed toward strategies for returning home to Winfield, from an Alcohol Rehab or Drug Treatment Facility and encountering old drug using acquaintances in Winfield - as well as ways to handle the many reminders and triggers of their past drug using days in Winfield. These triggers can produce memories which can produce psychological stressors. These psychological stressors often hinder the recovering addict, making it very difficult for them to feel as though they have control over their actions concerning drug using impulses. This is because research into the brain of addicts shows changes in the way their brain functions long after they have discontinued using drugs and/or alcohol. This is the main reason why even an individual with will power as strong as steel may find it extremely difficult to overcome drug addiction or alcoholism without professional addiction treatment. With so many obstacles such as triggers, drug cravings, and changes in the way their brain functions due to habitual drug use, it is no surprise why so many people attend an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehab Program each year to successfully recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

There are many reasons why a person should enroll into an Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Rehab Center in Winfield. A few of the many reasons are: the inability to control or eliminate their drinking or drug use, alienating their friends and family, legal problems, severe depression and general unhappiness due to excessive drug or alcohol use.

Did You Know? ...
Interesting Facts and Statistics:

According to federal government studies, shifts in the international drug market have doubled heroin production since the mid-1980s, leading to lower street prices for the drug. Those same studies conclude there are about eight million heroin abusers worldwide, with approximately a quarter of that group - two million - in the United States.

In 2008, 6.4 percent of adults aged 18 or older (14.3 million people) had at least one MDE in the past year. Over 1 in 25 adults (4.2 percent or 9.5 million people) had past year MDE with severe impairment.

The percentage of the population with dependence on or abuse of alcohol also increased from 2000 to 2001 (5.4 to 5.9 percent). There was a significant increase from 2000 to 2001 in the rate for alcohol abuse (3.1 to 3.5 percent) but not in the rate for alcohol dependence (2.3 to 2.4 percent).

Decreases in the rate of current use of a substance often occur when there are increases in the level of perceived risk of using that substance. Looking over the 7-year period, the proportion of teens aged 12 to 17 who reported perceiving great risk from smoking one or more packs of cigarettes per day increased from 63.1 percent in 2002 to 69.7 percent in 2008. During the same period, the rate of past month cigarette smoking among teens aged 12 to 17 dropped from 13.0 to 9.1 percent.

Among adults aged 18 or older who had MDE in the past year, 64.5 percent received treatment (i.e., saw or talked to a medical doctor or other professional or used prescription medication) for depression in the same time period, which was lower than in 2006 (69.1 percent).

In 2006, 59.8 percent of teens aged 12 to 17 reported that they had talked at least once in the past year with at least one of their parents about the dangers of drug, tobacco, or alcohol use, which was the same as in 2005. Among teens who reported having had such conversations with their parents, rates of past month use of illegal drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol (including binge alcohol) were lower than among teens who did not talk about substance abuse. That is, past month use of illegal drugs was reported by 8.6 percent of teens who had talked with their parents about drug, tobacco, or alcohol use compared with 11.3 percent of those who had not. Past month cigarette use was lower among teens who had talked with their parents (9.4 percent) than among those who had not (11.8 percent), and past month binge drinking was lower among teens who had talked with their parents (9.3 percent) than among those who had not (11.8 percent).
