The large majority of methamphetamine that is abused in this country comes from foreign or domestic labs that are built to make huge quantities of the drug for importing and distribution.

There were 3.9 million persons aged 12 or older (1.6 percent of the population) who received some kind of treatment for a problem related to the use of alcohol or illegal drugs in 2005.
