Between 2005-2009, among boys aged 21 to 34, the number of emergency room visits involving opiates showed a significant increase of 60.2 percent (from 7,185 to 11,509 visits).

In 2005, current cigarette smoking was more common among unemployed adults aged 18 or older than among adults who were working full time or part time (43.8 vs. 28.3 and 25.2 percent, respectively).
