Over half (57.6 percent) of past year nonmedical users of stimulants aged 12 or older reported getting the drug from a friend or relative for free. However, compared with overall stimulant users, methamphetamine users were less likely to purchase this stimulant on the Internet (1.5 percent) and more likely to purchase it from a drug dealer or other stranger (17.1 percent).
