Do you have a problem with drug or alcohol addiction and live in Sammamish, Washington? Are you concerned about a family member in Sammamish, who has a problem like this? Whatever your situation it's easy to believe that you're alone with this . . . that, somehow, you have to solve the problem all on your own. That is not the case. We care about you - and will help you find a Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility in Sammamish, suited to your specific treatment needs. You don't have to deal with drug addiction or alcoholism on your own!

A Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Treatment Center in Sammamish, is a good option for the treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism. The goal of an Alcohol Rehab or Drug Treatment Facility in Sammamish, WA. is to direct the initial treatment plan toward the ability of the individual to stop using drugs and/or alcohol and hence avoid the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that are usually associated with drug addiction and alcoholism.

There are many different addiction treatment approaches such as Long-term Addiction Treatment Facilities, Outpatient Addiction Treatment Centers, Short-term Addiction Treatment Facilities, Inpatient Addiction Treatment Centers, support group meetings, drug counseling, halfway houses and sober living.

Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Centers in Sammamish, typically focus on the two-fold nature of drug addiction and alcoholism: physical and psychological addiction. Physical addiction can be treated by a detoxification program in Sammamish, Washington with treatment procedure to assist with the painful withdrawal symptoms which manifest themselves when a person discontinues the consumption of a drug or drugs that they are addicted to. With habitual use of a psychoactive substance the brain gradually adapts to the presence of the drug so the desired effect becomes minimal. This is how physical tolerance develops to drugs such as heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, nicotine and alcohol to name a few. It also explains why more and more of the drug is needed to get the same effect with habitual use of an addictive drug. The abrupt cessation of an addictive drug can lead to serious withdrawal symptoms where the body may take weeks or months (depending on the drug involved) to return to normal function. The withdrawal symptoms from certain substances, such as heroin, can induce severe and painful withdrawal symptoms, and be quite prolonged.

An Alcohol Rehab or Drug Treatment Center in Sammamish, will not only provide the person with a professional detox but also provide a Drug Rehab or Alcohol Treatment Program for the psychological issues inevitably underlying all drug and alcohol addiction problems, so as to decrease the chances of relapse and increase the chances of a clean and sober life.

A Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Treatment Program in Sammamish, WA. is more likely to be one of the most successful methods for treating an individual with a severe drug addiction problem. Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facilities in Sammamish, are designed to deliver a comprehensive treatment curriculum and assist a person in every facet of their life 24 hours a day.

For a person to make a successful recovery, they must acquire new knowledge, abilities and 'life skills'. This new knowledge, abilities and life skills must be directed toward strategies for returning home to Sammamish, from a Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehab Program and encountering old drug using acquaintances in Sammamish - as well as ways to handle the many reminders and triggers of their past drug using days in Sammamish. These triggers can produce memories which can produce psychological stressors. These psychological stressors often hinder the recovering addict, making it very difficult for them to feel as though they have control over their actions concerning drug using impulses. This is because research into the brain of addicts shows changes in the way their brain functions long after they have discontinued using drugs and/or alcohol. This is the main reason why even an individual with will power as strong as steel may find it extremely difficult to overcome drug addiction or alcoholism without professional addiction treatment. With so many obstacles such as triggers, drug cravings, and changes in the way their brain functions due to habitual drug use, it is no surprise why so many people attend an Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Treatment Program each year to successfully recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

There are many reasons why a person should enroll into an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehabilitation Facility in Sammamish. A few of the many reasons are: the inability to control or eliminate their drinking or drug use, alienating their friends and family, legal problems, severe depression and general unhappiness due to excessive drug or alcohol use.

Interesting Facts and Statistics:

Once having tried cocaine, users cannot predict or control the extent to which they will continue to use the drug.

According to the most recent studies that were conducted by the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN), fourteen of the top twenty most abused controlled substances in the United States, are reported to be prescription drugs. Benzodiazepines, such as Xanax rank highest on the list, and are closely followed by the opiates or painkillers.

In 2006, adults aged 18 or older who were on parole or a supervised release from jail during the past year had higher rates of dependence on or abuse of a substance (36.9 percent) than their counterparts who were not on parole or supervised release during the past year (9.1 percent).

First use of stimulants increased steadily during the last decade, from 219,000 in 1991 to 697,000 in 2000. Incidence levels this high had not been observed since the mid-1970s, when incidence peaked at 646,000 new users in 1974.

In 2006, 22.6 percent of teens aged 12 to 17 reported that, in the past year, they had gotten into a serious fight at school or at work; 17.0 percent had taken part in a group against group fight; 3.2 percent had carried a handgun at least once; 3.3 percent had sold illegal drugs; 4.8 percent had, at least once, stolen or tried to steal something worth more than $50 (increased from 4.2 percent in 2005); and 7.9 percent had, in at least one instance, attacked others with the intent to harm or seriously hurt them.

Today it is estimated that 22 to 25 million people have tried cocaine at least once. Conservative estimates indicate that there are over two million cocaine addicts in the United States today.
