50 Arrested In Massive Central Florida Drug Sweep November 10, 2005 OVIEDO, Fla. -- Authorities in Central Florida say they have made 50 drug arrests in three counties as part of an effort called Operation Crackdown. Authorities say they have struck a major blow to the Oviedo, Florida Soldiers, who allegedly distributed crack cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy in Orange, Seminole and Volusia counties. The Orange County, Florida sheriff's office says the homegrown crime organization has been around for more than a decade and gradually expanded its operations from its roots in Oviedo,Florida. All were arrested on charges of conspiracy to traffic or trafficking in illegal drugs. Those arrested range from upper-level suppliers to street-level dealers.
