Roseville, CaliforniaIntroduction to Roseville, California
Placer County is home to the California city of Roseville, which is also part of the metropolitan area of Sacramento (the city of Sacramento is situated 17 miles to Roseville's southwest). Principal highways running through Roseville include Interstate 80 and California Highway 65.
Roseville was developed on the ground marking the junction of the Central Pacific and California Central railroad lines which crossed there in the 1860s. Designated on railroad maps for years simply as "Junction", Roseville existed for decades thereafter as merely a small freight and passenger railroad shipping point of about 250 inhabitants catering to the needs of local farmers and ranchers. Things changed in the early 1900s, when the railroad roundhouse and repair facilities were moved to Roseville from nearby Rocklin, which had until then been the area's major railroad service center. Almost overnight, the landscape of this small village changed into that of a bustling town of two or three thousand. In 1909, the town incorporated and sustained a steady period of growth, finally becoming Placer County's largest and most significant city. Roseville continued as an unchallenged railroad center into the post-war years, but by the 1950s the airline and trucking industries provided stiff competition. By 1972, the local depot was closed but in 1987 passenger traffic was reintroduced and a new intermodal depot facility was completed. In the meantime, the city of Roseville grew by leaps and bounds. While still true to its "Junction" roots, today's Roseville is no longer completely dependent on the railroad, as the electronics industry has made its presence felt with both Hewlett-Packard and NEC Electronics becoming major employers in Roseville and South Placer County.
Roseville Culture and Entertainment
The Carnegie Museum provides a walking tour of historic Roseville. The Carnegie Library, Roseville's first permanent library, was constructed in 1912 and funded in part by Andrew Carnegie. The Maidu Interpretive Center and Historic Site offers guided museum tours highlighting ancient Nisenan Indian culture. The Roseville Telephone Museum explores 100 years of telephone history and showcases an outstanding collection of antique telephones and telephone memorabilia. Art enthusiasts can take advantage of the "3rd Saturday Art Tours", where every third Saturday of the month Roseville art galleries and businesses present a reception-style event, complete with a wide variety of art, music, food and an opportunity to meet the artists. Shoppers will find a variety of offerings at Denio's Farmers Market and Auction, a combination farmer and flea market (open Saturdays and Sundays). Another popular Roseville attraction is the Magic Circle Theater, where a full schedule of musicals, mysteries, comedies, youth musical workshops and concerts are presented in the historic Roseville Theater.
Attractions in other parts of Placer County include: Johnson-Springview Park (Rocklin), Historic Main Street (Newcastle), Lakeview Farms (Lincoln), Traylor Bird Sanctuary and Nature Preserve (Penryn), Griffith Quarry Museum (Penryn), Rocklin History Museum, Gladding McBean & Co. (Lincoln), and the Blue Goose Fruit Shed (Loomis).
Less than a 30-minute drive away is the California State Capital of Sacramento, which offers its own host of attractions, including the California State Railroad Museum and the Sacramento Zoo. Area sports fans can watch the Sacramento Kings (NBA basketball), Sacramento Monarchs (WNBA women's basketball), Sacramento Knights (World Indoor Soccer League), and Sacramento River Cats (Minor League AAA farm team of the Oakland Athletics).

Are drugs and alcohol creating destruction in your life in Roseville, CA.? Do you know of someone in Roseville, CA. that is going down the dark path of drug or alcohol addiction? It is very easy for someone to fall into the trap of addiction, but an individual soon realizes that it is extremely difficult to kick an addiction. That is where a Drug Rehabilitation or Alcohol Treatment Center in Roseville comes in, to assist with the seemingly impossible task of treating individuals who have lost hope at ever being sober and happy again.
An Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Rehab Program in Roseville treats drug addiction and alcoholism by ingraining in an addict that drugs and alcohol are not the solution to their problems and difficulties in life. It teaches an addict that all of their problems have solutions, solutions that can be found through cognitive reasoning and common sense. A Drug Treatment or Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility in Roseville would put the individual in the frame of mind to overcome life's obstacles by confronting them head on, and obliterates the person's desire to use drugs as a way out.
There are many different types of in-patient and out-patient treatment programs available in Roseville, CA., because each individual has different needs. Examples of programs available in Roseville are Outpatient Drug Treatment Centers, Short-term Drug Treatment Facilities, Inpatient Rehab Facilities, Long-term Rehab Facilities, support group meetings, drug counseling, halfway houses and sober living.
Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Centers in Roseville have a two-prong approach to treatment, both the physical and psychological causes and effects of drug and alcohol addiction. As the individual's brain adapts to the use of a psychoactive substance over time, the effect that the drug creates within the body is lessened. Due to this physical tolerance, more and more drugs or alcohol must be consumed to get high or even get a buzz.
The physical aspect of addiction is the first thing an addict will address when making the decision to seek treatment for addiction. A detoxification program in Roseville, California delivered by a qualified Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Rehab Facility will navigate the addict through the uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms that are caused by abruptly coming off of drugs or alcohol. These withdrawal symptoms can last for days, weeks or months; all depending on the drug of choice and individual circumstances. Heroin withdrawal for example will take a considerable amount of time to detox and is a highly painful and uncomfortable process. Detoxification and psychological counseling right from get-go will put the individual on the right path to address issues involved with drug and alcohol abuse. This gives the individual a better chance of having a lasting recovery and prevents relapse.
An Alcohol Rehabilitation or Drug Treatment Program in Roseville, CA. takes the individual out of the environment which may have triggered their addiction, and offers an environment that will ensure a successful recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The individual will be given tools to better handle life situations and triggers which may have caused their drug use. When the individual completes treatment and does return home, he will do so with a new ability to handle triggers, which will no longer have an influence over him, his actions and behavior.
People who have abused drugs and alcohol shows changes in their brain. Research shows that these changes in the brain effect how an addict responds to situations. Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facilities are aware of this and know that an addict will need more than high hopes to beat addiction. This is yet another reason why professional treatment at an Alcohol Treatment or Drug Rehabilitation Center in Roseville, CA. is so important.
There are a lot of reasons to seek treatment today, mainly because most people who try to kick the habit on their own will fail and just start using drugs or alcohol again. Tackling addiction and getting control of your life can be achieved by seeking treatment at an Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Facility in Roseville, CA. It doesn't have to be another failure, sobriety can be achieved with the right technology and the care and support of people who want to see you winning again. Don't think about it, do something about it and get your life or the life of someone you care about on the road to a sober and happy life today. Treatment can begin immediately by finding which option is best for you at one of the many Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehabilitation Programs in Roseville, CA.
