The drug rehab treatment style that you chose should be based on the level of your drug or alcohol addiction. For those who are not "heavily" addicted to drugs or alcohol, perhaps a less intensive treatment approach may be all that in needed to handle the problem. Individuals who have been severely addicted for an extended period of time often find that a more structured inpatient drug rehab treatment program works best.

Of the 20.8 million persons in 2008 who were classified as needing substance use treatment but not receiving treatment at a specialty facility in the past year, 1.0 million persons (4.8 percent) reported that they perceived a need for treatment for their illegal drug or alcohol use problem.
