Ecstasy users may take combinations of drugs, including alcohol, which may further increase the negative effects of the drug or even death.

Pharmacists have the ability to play a key role in preventing prescription drug abuse and addiction by making it a point to provide clear information and advice about how to take a medication appropriately, about the effects the medication may have, and about any possible drug interactions.
